Meet The Year Round Team

Executive Director

Nick Johnson came to Upper Missouri Ministries in the fall of 2004. He is married to Dana and they have three children. They live in Williston where they enjoy taking walks to the park, going camping, and enjoying their children.
Nick's duties include working with the Board of Directors to discover the vision God has for UMM. Also, he is the primary person responsible for fundraising, human resources and publicity.  Dana is the owner/Operator of Little Muddy Gifts in downtown Williston.

Associate Director

hattie.JPG Hattie Carrier began serving at UMM in January 2013. She brings her great energy and love for kids to UMM. As a lifelong camper, counselor and summer leader she brings her skills forward for God to use.
Hattie lives in Williston and runs all programs at UMM. She is devoted to making sure kids hear about Jesus and have fun in the shadow of the cross.  Marketing, recruiting summer camp missionaries, VBS in congregations, and everything in between are her duties.

Retreat Director

Taylor Campbell, originally from Pequot Lakes MN, became serving at UMM in January 2015. With a heart for missions and a Bible degree from Crown College, she is excited to be involved in full time camp ministry. Taylor oversees guest groups & UMM youth & adult retreats.

Office Dire ctor

Emma Kuester is the most recent addition to the year-round staff. As a lifetime camper and counselor, she is excited to share UMM with others. Emma may been seen at the camp, but you will most likely be talking to her on the phone or through emails.

Upper Missouri Ministries is located on 203 acres on the shores of Springbrook Dam. The shore line surrounds most of the camp site, which is on a peninsula nestled in the coulee bottom.

This is a perfect setting for kids and families to experience the Love and Grace of Jesus through time in creation and community that allows faith in Christ Jesus to be sparked.

Children (of all ages) are in need of a place to slow down and reconnect with nature and other people. And we all need to reconnect with the Love and Grace of God found in Jesus. Time at Camp UMM provides experiences in services, worship, study, and quiet time. Campers return to their homes, families, and communities with faith in Christ Jesus that is sparked and with tools that will allow them to weather the storms of life.
